FYI - the MM series are 2.7 ohms, plan accordingly. Looks like the MM UM series are 4 ohms.

how do the polks compare to the jl m650.

I would highly recommend wet sounds. they are ridiculous.

That's nominal impedance, effective resistance while the speaker is playing, is going to be pretty similar if not the same.
