496 strainer and hose bib
 

I read some posts about seawater strainers but it didn't say which ones worked or didn't. Will the small inline 75$ strainer work in freshwater use or would it restrict flow to the pump ? Bravo one drive has dual water pickups, does anyone know of a good hose connection I could get or do I just make something from a plumbing store work to eliminate having to use the muffs ?
