Beached CC w/2mm in pot onboard in Palm Beach this morning....oops!
PALM BEACH — Palm Beach police say they have discovered 80 to 100 bricks of marijuana onboard a boat that washed ashore this morning across from the Palm Beach Country Club on the island's north end.
The boat was spotted at about 6:30 a.m. by firefighters on a passing fire truck, said police spokesman Fred Hess. When police arrived they found a 22-foot fishing boat and tracks heading off in the sand. Police found the drugs bundled on the boat. Hess estimated each bundle to be worth $20,000, meaning the entire take could be worth up to $2 million. Authorities have a Fort Lauderdale man in custody, Hess said. The man reports that he was simply walking on the beach after a spat with his wife and has nothing to do with the boat, Hess said. A helicopter continues to search the area for anyone who may have been on the boat. Police dogs have been called in as well, Hess said. U.S. Border Patrol agents will interview the man in custody, Hess said. The boat will be towed to a Coast Guard station. http://www.palmbeachpost.com/news/cr...n-2296345.html This is about a mile south of Rush Limbaugh's house or 1 1/2 south of the inlet. There was one a few months ago that the guys were so nervous they ran aground just inside the Boynton Inlet in front of marine patrol. MP escorted them to the docks for a sobriety check and they took off on foot only to be caught a block away. They had a good stash but not 2mm worth.... Guess they are still bringing in drugs the old school way! This was the inlet this morning: http://www.co.palm-beach.fl.us/webcams/lwi/ dead flat |

Desperate times for some can bring on desperate acts!
Wish more in this country could make better money at jobs and businesses that our great society keeps shipping overseas? Maybe these people would be less prone to risking there futures on drug running. Best Regards, Ray @ Raylar |
