Actually that's not a bad boat at all! A heavy b*tch but other than that they are a well built boat. The warranty backed by Baha Cruisers is unreal.

I have owned my Mach 1 for years now and it's an awesome boat for the money! Just don't expect to go very fast but the ride in heavy waves is very respectable.

Look through this thread you guys that haven't been around here long can get a good laugh.
The old timers will remember what a chunk of chit he and his boats are.
Gets real good around page 6 or 7

Concords ???

what about them?? i love mine. the previous owner didnt take care of anything on it, it was in shambles when i got it, faded so bad and oxidized so heavily you couldnt tell what color it was supposed to be. had enough gel on it to sand and buff it back to what i call "respectable" for a 1987 model that has been severely weathered. the guy never bothered to cover it either and when i opened up the floor i found the stringers were gone from the helm back. everything else was pretty good shape. sometime in the 1990's they changed the lay up and everything is fully glassed in now. i have a few relatives and friends that have early 1990 models and they have held up fantastically. like was mentioned before in this thread, all manufacturers may have an issue from time to time, for the most part Concords are a solid built boat and i would definetely not classify them as "bargain brand" boats. only issues i had have with mine is crap the previuos owner neglected or decided to half ass. they have good handling as well. Brian, the owners son, has a 20 ft Mach III with a 502 MAG that will run 85 all day long. Dont know what you have heard or experienced but over all they are great boats.

they also have held speed records on the mississippi river with both 20 and 23 ft models. and best of my knowledge merc did testing of the black hawk drive on the 20 ft Concord Mach II. My buddies dad has one of two built with a blackhawk and when it left the factory new in 1997 it ran just shy of 80 with a 350 MAG MPI, runs 73-74 here at 3000 feet above sea level.
