Go Pro Mount Question
Which mount do you use, Surf or Suction?
|
I use the Suction mount and never had a problem so far.
Never tried to mount to the back by the drives or anything by the water http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F9JRq...iIXx1HxHAi0%3D |
Suction, Just make sure it's not on a waxed surface, it could fall off.

Im using the 3m mount. Had no problems with it, but I dont mind having a fixed location

The deck of my boat is waxed but maybe I'll just try the standard suction cup. I'm just worried about the camera coming off after landing off of a swell and the camera hitting somebody in the boat.

Watch the 3:00 mark... this was with the suction cup mount, in fact the entire video was shot with the suction cup. |

I never had a problem with the big suction cup on a waxed surface. I just make sure the surface is dry, these suction cups don't need moisture like the small ones do. Once the suction cups are properly set they are not going anywhere.

This was shot with GoPro and Drift cameras, both on suction mounts:
