Liquid filled speedo repair instructions:
Step 1: Remove speedo and all associated hardware.
Step 2: Install new GPS speedo and enjoy!

Its easy to get your speedo out providing you can get to it. Just 2 nuts for mounting brackets, pop out the light, and unscrew your pitot tube. I never had a problem with my liquid 120 leaking. Just took it out this past weekend to put in the GPS 120. Only problem I ever had was finding a pick-up that would take 100+mph water without bending and eventually breaking off. No more of that

I have a Gafrig/Liv. Liquid filled (cheap) if you need. I took it out to install the analog GPS. No more bent and broken/cloged pitot tubes.

Actually it's pretty common for these to leak. Your local Walgreens will have some glycerin. It's used as a hand lotion. Same stuff that the speedo is filled with. Pull the speedo out of the dash, pry the plug off the back and fill. No more difficult than that.

Ok ok, I'll admit it, when I was changing my gauge bezels I was unsure how the liquid filled gauge came out and I started to twist it...well that's not how to take them out what that does is causes the fluid to leak out...needless to say I sinched it back tight before the fluid leaked out every where, if yours has a leak try tightening it clockwise.
I checked with some marine parts guys about refilling it and they all said if it all did'nt leak out, don't bother trying to re-fill it
If it still works don't worry about it

Live and learn I guess
