do a search for 'airdock' here... many threads.
goto airdock's website for new pricing. Not gonna be easy to check for leaks, so at least be prepared w/ patch kits. |

Up's and down's. Had one for several years. up's...it keeps the boat out of the water for a fraction of the cost of Hydrohoist, etc. Downside....yeah...you're gonna chase leaks. But the patches are easy and work just fine. Somtimes finding the leak is a bit of a PITA. But beats bottem paint or the major $$ investment of other methods.
As for price...a D-model new is at least a few thousand I think. I bought mine used for a grand and sold it after a few years use for about $500. Look it over good. But you really won't know about any small leaks until you have the boat on it. Just the nature of the beast. The seller may not even know if there's a new leak as you can always get a new nick when pulling it or storing it for the season. All in all...I'd use one again if budget is an issue. If I won the Mega Millions and had goo-gobs of cash to throw around, I'd make life easy and go Hydro or Jetdock |
