I see you folks talking about Cumberland. My wife and I are sick of the CT winters..... We are looking to go there this winter with the houseboat in tow for a lookaround. Is there a site someone can give me that will give good recreational boater info?? All the stuff I find is commercial. What are the lake speed limits? etc etc...

I understand that there are live-aboard folks on the lake.
I looked at a few maps. Is all that water navigable? Not Mead sized, but certainly not a small one!

Not sure if the yellow boat will be down. It's hard for him to get away from his business. You could always come up here and take a ride!! But you do know you will want one once you ride in it!!

Will be there Wed. through Sunday. This should be a big weekend, weather looks good, waters at normal pool and warm. We will be on Thunder Boat row ( The N Docks) ready to rock!

Heading down Wednesday night.

Just returned home last night from spending a perfect long weekend down there. The water is perfect!!! It wasn't as busy as I expected it to be, but I'm sure this Wednesday it will be cranking. Plenty of boats hanging by the dam around 7:00-7:30 on Saturday. Nobody running each other though. 76 Falls was hoppin', little falls were being harrassed by two water patrols at once!! :rolleyes:

Putting in at Grider Hill Thursday morning, looking forward to meeting some people down there.

We have about 5 boats heading down on wed. or thursday, planning on being down till monday. It sure looks like it will be a warm weekend.

Can't wait to hit the road!!
