Awesome! Please keep us up to date as to how testing goes in performance hulls.

There's probably won't be a lot of information available about what goes on during Ilmor's durability testing—engine builders like to play that stuff pretty close to the vest—with the MV8 570 in go-fast boats but we will provide updates as they are available.

Def would like to know the pricing once released. Could be a great turn key long lasting motor.

Have heard the engine package is in the 30k range complete

I can't wait to see back-to-back testing versus the Mercury 565. This will be interesting, for sure!

How much will it weigh compared to the 565?

Just to clear up,the test boat is a v bottom eliminator and will be lighter than the merc has cast iron block though these thing are going to rock

I hope to update this story sometime next week. Come the 2013 Miami International Boat Show in February it will be one year since Ilmor first unveiled this engine.
