Slow and modest compared to the big boys. I guarantee something like this would work. Its not for sale though.

Default DO IT and do not look back!

Do it!

I moved aboard a 43' Wellcraft Portoifno in 2010. Love it! I just sold the Portofino and bought a Carver 4207, which is a damn Cruise Ship compared to the Express Cruiser. I like the Marina folks, nice people--my 38KV scarab is a few slips away hanging in a sling...life is good.

I sold my house in FL, sold all my junk and paid cash for a liveaboard. I have not regretted moving onto a boat!

I love our 400ss but it is strictly a weekend boat. Living on it full time would get old in a hurry.

I agree you need something with more beam and larger overall size.

If you want to float in comfort -i'd go trawler. Not flashy, not fast but will get you anywhere at 10-15 knots sipping diesel and damn near as roomy as a houseboat and has the equip/room for a small tender and your bike and don't need to strap it on a swim platform.
