First time boat...
thinking about building a boat, what kind of hull, year, size and make should i get? twin mercruisers? bravo 1's? tandom housing? strings? interior + helm? what is everything i will need, price range and where is there a place in south florida where it can be done at?
thanks!

In South Fla if your wanting to Build something special you'll want to Buy a new Pantera Hull/Deck, then take it over to TNT to be rigged with some motors from Cobra. they are all within a few miles from each other. let us know how it turns out, should be really nice :)

i found a new pantera 24.. http://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/boa/3010432357.html how does that look? where can i buy other pantera hulls? and thanks for the TNT! i talked to brand x, but still looking around :)

I don't think that is a 2012 hull, but if the stringers and transom are good then it isn't a bad deal. if you need to redo the srtingers and transom then it IS a bad deal. either way that is one of the best ever 24' hulls when it comes to rough water fun & decent smooth water speed. with a mildly modified Big Block and a Bravo1 that thing will run low to mid 80's and leave you with a smile that will be hard to get rid of :)

POWERPLAY J 05-15-2012 07:56 PM

There is a 33 Powerplay race hull waiting to be rigged in FL. Bigger than a Pantera

That is not a Pantera 24'.

Pick a budget and go find a good used boat. There are plenty of them.

As Jo posted above, that is NOT a pantera, and NOT a 2012. I knew when I saw that ad the other day soemone was going to fall for that. It is a 1980something P&D, and if you search back it was listed as such previously on craigslist.
