We have this cool little insulated bag that we stuff with a bucket of KFC. We occasionally bring taco salad (we keep all ingredients in separate ziplocks until ready to eat and mix in a giant bowl). Of course there is the subway sandwiches and everyone in a while when going to a beach we will bring our small propane grill (kept in a duffel bag) for burgers, steaks, chicken, etc.

I usually do sandwich stuff. Depends on my level of laziness that day lol. I either get the stuff to make em, along with potato salad and stuff, or I stop at one of the 80 Subways on the way to the lake.

Good idea, cold pulled pork would also be good cold in a taco. Make it the night before or pick up some BBQ on the way out.
