Great boat
not as fun as the Cig
better than the cig to party on
pain to tow

with 525's it will do 60mph but feels like 30
very solid boat at least my 2006 model is

if i could only own one boat, it would be a 400ss with 525s or if the numbers worked out with #6 drives and 700s. owned an 08 hardtop with 496 HOs back in the day and loved it.

Personally, I prefer the boat with the new 400 hp Volvo Penta diesels, but Formula has built two 400SS's with Ilmor 725/Indy packages that ran 70 mph. The 725's burn w-a-y less fuel than the 700's, and come with stronger drives.

Wow! Ilmor's would be a great package. Would they cost more or less than Merc's 700?
