Toffen, great job! Is the 350 Verado still treating you well?

jixall, interesting. Only does it w/those wheels and I'm gambling I just cured it. I had an identical rig to this and tried spinning them in and the boat hated it but that was w/3 blades so I may try it.

pstorti, a $50. 4" grinder w/a cut off wheel. Easy to do but takes a steady hand as the other side of the wheel is right beside the blades. Once cut I cleaned them up w/a sanding disc on same grinder. Came out great and no one would catch it w/o knowing to look.

So, so far I've improved hole shot 100% for free and maybe porposing too and maybe a little more up top. Sure don't want to take anything from the prop wizards making their livings at this but I beat on all my own wheels when I raced kneel downs and is big fun to see what works and hope you didn't just ruin your favorite wheel ('s) :cartman::helmet:
My plan all along was to see if I could make the Bravos work on my Sonic and then send them to someone that knows what they're doing to make them right.

Looking good Gary! Be curious to see how she does. Hopefully, those 24's will do the trick and you won't need to go back to 26's. ;)

IMO Bravos are not a bow lifting prop. I had to trim a Bravo to the moon on my boat. Rev4 is a much better bow lifting 4 blade.

Good info on the vent holes and diffuser ring. I learned a few years ago that the vent holes matter even on a stern drive with thru hull exhaust.

Thanks Jeff

We'll see. If I can steal another set to try I will. I have fuel flow sensors that communicate w/my GPS that I plan to use to dial in my cruising efficiency that's where I would expect the 26's to shine.
The 24's should let the motors spin up a bit more and take advantage of the porting I did to them motors too so we'll see.
I remember Al Stoker telling me when I built FrankenRude I for the old Vector that the motor will determine what pitch to run and you'll be shocked to see what it is. I ran everything from 24" to 32" on that motor and there was only 3 MPH's between them all! Couldn't freagin believe it. Was fastest w/a 30" but a PIA to get it there and was only 2 MPH's slower w/a 26" drag and did everything better!

You should have been a brain surgeon! I can't believe you did that nice of a job with a grinder!
