OSO'ers I need your help

I am putting new power in my 2001 Cigarette Tiger, problem I am having is hatch ram won't fit between the motors. Apparently the Dart Pro 1 heads are wider then stock heads and the top of the ran (collar) is hitting the clamp from te headers and the tail pipes. Has anybody ever run up against this or know of a good replacement with a smaller diameter? I can move the ram down lower on the bracket but now it won't lift the hatch high enough. Even if I could find a ram with a longer throw. Any help or suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Frank

The ram in my Mystique is the same as the old MR or #1 drive, it's about a third smaller in diameter. That might just be the trick as this small ram came factory equipped.

Ask Chris if he's got one in his stash, if not there's one up here at my buds boat bone yard.

Here's a pic.

This is the set up in the bot currently I can not believe that the head change makes it that tight.

Do you have the small ram like in my pic or is yours the larger Alpha style ram? (My Top Gun had the Alpha ram)

interesting... did you have any trouble hooking the exhaust back up?

lower the ram as you said and drill a new hole (Lower) on the arm...? that should get your height back.

Now that you mention it I think it is the Alpha one. Do you know what the diameter of the collar is by chance. And I will run to OP in the morning and ask Chris, that is where the boat is. Thanks for the help!

I have CMI exhaust they asked me about the heads but I never gave it a second thought, so the exhaust is fine but now I have this.

I thought about this to but I need to drop it by 4-5" and I am wondering if the geometry will work it looks as if it would be to far back. I might just drill the holes and try anyways because it holding up progress at this point.
