Ok guys, helping a friend spend some money..

Whats the best bang for the $$ in a 25+ powerboat.

He likes the speed, mid or cuddy, carb or efi.

Year doesn't matter, as long as its NOT a project.

Looking for turn key.

His Price range $20-$35k

PowerQuest made a great all around boat for $$$

I have a very nice Checkmate that is right on the low end of his budget and is turn key. 75 mph + gps. I'm looking to move up very soon. PM me if youd like pictures and details.

I think my 28 Apache is the best bang for the buck and will fit that price range, but I'm biased. Its for sale here on OSO. Has 40 hours on new 502's.

Exactly what I was looking for when I picked up this 260 last Friday. (And in that price range).

A friend of mine just picked up a nice 1999 28' PQ Silencer with a 502efi for 25ish. Great boat for the price IMO.

I have a 27' Advantage mid cabin, fresh 540 (5hrs on it) EFI. Needs nothing. (really) It is at Lake Havasu at the Advantage factory right now on consignment. 36K

That might be out of my buddies price range, but it will be in mine.

We don't see alot of PowerQuest or Advantage here in Texas...

I started out only wanting to spend 20ish and ended up at 60 but i love my new boat.

Remember I am also looking for myself, this thread was started for my neighbor.

I am willing to spend more if the price is right.

We found him a 29' scarab this weekend with TWIN smallblocks, that I would love for myself but the guy was REALLY proud of it. He wouldn't budge off of $35k for a 1996.

Wow, that Donzi looks like a pretty good deal. Provided both motors actually run, I can't believe that is a legitimate price and not a scam....

best bang for the buck$ i don't think anybody can touch the deal i got on my Nova. 1500 plus about a grand in vinyl, wood, props and parts to redo one 350. and he is a legit 60mph boat. of course it's only a Nova. and the interior, while coming along fairly well is gonna look like a talented backyard a$$h@le's first attempt...

You can deal with the moron at the marina...talked to him again yesterday and he acted like he didn't know what I was even talking about and that both craigslist ads were wrong price. Said its supposed to be $34,900...wtf..how's 23,900 even close!?

Man I will call today, if he is serious I can have him a draft check in an hour, but then comes the problem with shipping...

Called today, apperently someone stole the picture and made a FAKE ad on may 24th.

The boat has a contract pending for $29,999.
