bravo shifting question
when I shift into forward it doesnt engage.......goes into reverse well, after trying it a couple times it goes in. Is it out of adjustment ? I dont think its blown because it works fine once its in. any ideas?

I'd try adjusting first. Although on one of my Bravo I's the shifter cable that goes from the engine to the drive had just enough left to do exactly what you are describing, fiddled with it long enough that the cable failed. Had to have the guys remove the drive and replace the cable.

Slingshot,
I have experinced the same problem. It only happened 3-4 times in 50 hrs of use and when I have been running for a while and the motor is hot. I usually just slowly put it into reverse and then slowly back into forward and it works fine. I figured that may be the gears just don't line up perfectly sometimes?? |
