Jay is great. This was the best boating weekend I have ever had. I got to ride in the boats while jumping and drive one of the Carver's while the jumping (or flying) was going on. A thread with some more of the action.

Yes, that image has had a lot of post production done to it. You can see where someone pulled back the exposure of the sky around the front of the boat.
Someone ... figures the postprocessing should be obvious  and yeah, that weekend was a special one for the ages Tyson was like a bulldog with that boat- I bet he hit Jim's wake a couple dozen times. Thanks, Matt! edit- the final result should be interesting to view, shoot to averages / tweak to specifics re exposure, saturation and contrast. also, 90% of it is just showin up. |
Awesome shots. Looks like an epic boating adventure! :)

I have had the absolute privilege to look at thousands of great go-fast boat photos over the years, and now at Sportboat I get to make the final selection, and I have never seen one that captures the launch angle and energy so well. How often do you see that, I mean really see it in the fraction of a second it takes? It's more than "just showin' up," my friend. You have an eye. |
