Cash Bar 06-27-2012 10:16 AM

I've sat here and typed and deleted and typed and deleted numerous times. I just can't come up with the words I want to convey.

All I can get out is how sorry I am and that all of the family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Truly a sad, sad passing.

Greg

I have to say, Sandy's Celebration of Life was like nothing else I have attended. There were hundreds upon hundreds of people in attendance. The line to get in stretched 200 ft. at times, out of the reception room, down the hall, and out the door. This was not a small place, and parking was like trying to find a spot at the mall on Christmas Eve. Seriously, how many people have their dentist show up at their memorial, yet alone the entire office? It was if the entire town showed up, and then some.

There was a slide show, pictures, and mementos from Sandy's childhood, all the way through her own kids growing up, all around the room. All of this was surrounded by sweets and a well stocked bar-which is where Sandy would have been socializing had she been there.

Sandy's urn was very ornate, yet still resembled a Hershey's Kiss--fitting for how sweet she was. It was placed next to her fishing rod and fishing chair. While we all knew why we were there, there was laughter and smiles across the crowd the majority of the time.

To Jeff and Family: Our collective hearts are with you today, tomorrow, and beyond.

We'll miss you Sandy. :(

Thank You Brian. I was so pleasantly shocked to see you. Thanks Brother, you helped ease the pain for a short while, I'm sorry I couldnt talk with you longer. This has been the most terrible thing in my life I have had to endure. Im just so angry at God right now. Sandy for the last 6 mos has wanted me to read a book about some Angels...I need to find this and read it, She actually read it twice. Tomorrow Sandys ashes gets sprinkled on her favorite location, Im not looking forward to it, but need to carry out her wishes. I realize now how important a spouse plays a roll in our lives. She was perfect. There is no way I can fill her shoes, or even come close, she did so much, so well. I really miss the goofing around and making light of everything. I still think she is coming around the corner. Guys give your wives a hug and tell them you love them.

I wrote a poem for her tomorrow, and know she will like it. Thanks to all of you for the support, this means alot to me and it shows the strength of the community. Jeff

Jeff, I don't know what to say. Linda and I met you and Sandy years ago, don't know if you remember it was at a Fl PB you had just finished testing the engines on that Active Thunder. I feel for you. God Bless!
