as before minimum once a year in the spring as part of recommisioning after layup. performance boats are run much harder and at a consistently higher average rpm so it stands to reason they have a less then average life expectancy. at least in my mind anyway . . . :cool: |
Checked mine this past spring after recognizing no water was coming out of the exhausts upon spring start-up. It was toast. The boat had been idle for many years prior to my purchase. I am very glad I caught this. They are tough to change even after I took the pump out of the boat and used my vice to hold it.
