LOL.... Thanks guys! I have no doubts that its a whole other level of broke. Im a big car guy... Lightnings, SRT-10 Pickups, F-Bodies, Turbos etc etc... so I know exactly what you mean. Im sure the boats will be as bad and worse.

As far as my experience, very little compared to you guys im sure. Motored around some 22-24' Bayliner open bows etc... But I can respect power, so I wont be an idiot with a more powerful boat.

Location... Lake of the Ozarks Missouri...

Passengers? Id like to at least be able to have something for 4-6 people...

I want, sleek, mean sounding, and good "overall" power/speed.... I wouldnt want anything smaller than say.... 24'? Lake of the Ozarks can get a bit choppy...

Even though it cost thousands isn't it fun

For your price range a clean 24x7 hull would be sweet! Sunsation, Pantera, Superboat... alot of bang for the buck and you will learn how to drive.

I have much to learn! I will be patient until fall/winter as I assume thats the best time to be a buyer?...

Im also shopping. I have very little boating experience but remember going with my dad when I was 12 or 13 to the Excalibur plant and falling in love with the look. Im looking for a 24x7 but the older boats are hard to find.

I'm originally from Stevensville. Live In Decatur now. Been boating all my life, and worked for Pier33 a few years in the summers when I was younger. Boat out of St.joe all the time. In fact I was there wed, sat. and sunday this week. Lots of experience with the area.

Not sure what your looking for, but Wolfs has a decent Chris Craft CC that would be a fun boat. Needs a little cleaning TLC, but lots of room.

Look in the classifieds. There is an '01 Sunsation Aggressor a lil more than you want to spend but all 24x7's share the dame dimentions.
I don't believe waiting till winter will score you a deal. Search around and start going on testdrives. Find what suits YOU best. These 24x7 boats are "drivers" boats and can be very fun.

Thanks, Nightlife I will check that out at wolfs. I'm actually live in Hartford so I'm just down the road,my parents boat is in pier 1000. I was there all day Sat & Sun as well riding around in the dingy. Thanks for the info. Maybe I c ya around sometime
