I have a 98 twin step 28zx with a 700hp 555ci it has a imco stern advantage stern jack on it with a 28p bravo and it runs 5100rpm. I think with the sternjack I'm getting to much drag on the drive and its getting too much water, what do you guys think, would a imco shorty help me?

What kind of speed do you get as is?

A shorty would help when you put a the stern jack on the drive shaft center line will be lower so yes a shortie will help

A stern jack won't lower the propshaft in positive trim like an extension box does. Two different animals.

That's a long way to drive to try out a shorty, but I am a Fedex Ground contractor. I can get it to you.
