Spending a Week in Cincinnati for work AND BRINGING MY BOAT!

Hey Cincinnati guys... I'll be spending July 20-27 in town for a work meeting. I'm going to bring the boat down and spend the week on it.

I have done some online research, and it looks like Four Seasons is the best place to spend the week? I need clean showers and a fun atmosphere. My class is at LUK airport so the proximity looks good too. Any advice or suggestions?

Love to meet some Oso'ers in town and do some boating on the river. :drink:

jmoore1225 07-10-2012 02:25 PM

water back in there is really muddy & shallow but manageable, but the restaurant/bar has great food & atmosphere!

Baja_342 07-10-2012 03:17 PM

Have to hit Ludlow Bromley Yacht club. I'll most likely be there on the weekend. I'll buy you a beer!

BoatShow239 07-10-2012 03:23 PM

If it is anything like what it was...

...you should have a good stay at Four Seasons.

Many years ago I was there for a while helping a friend get a boat ready for an extended trip. They were very friendly and as jmoore1225 said, the food and atmosphere was good.

I was as much impressed by their security as anything.

bobkatz 07-10-2012 04:17 PM

I'm at LUK almost everyday, what are you taking?
Four seasons is nice, You should also hit Party In the park (or whatever they are calling it) on Wednesday evening downtown.

Dave, would have never thought of that. Great idea. I'm definately throwing on my spares!

How fast can you go...

...on Lake Hudson?

Do you ever venture to Muskingum River?

Don't think I could even get on lake hudson! We spend local time at Buckeye lake, when not at erie. We have not done the muskingum trip, but we would love to do it someday.

Drag that thing 3 hours south to Lake Cumberland. Large lake clean water lots of performance stuff.

Another thought, the Nashville Poker Run is July 27th and 28th great people good run. You're well within range from Cincinnati.

Cumberland is awesome. If I wasn't stuck in town for work (and expensing my slip :evilb: ). I'd be there!

bobkatz 07-10-2012 10:26 PM

SMS training.... I would take my boat also, that's some fun training right there!!!

I'm at Hangar 51, other end of the field, see you down there.

RT930turbo 07-20-2012 10:13 AM

I'll be down sometime on Sunday for the week. If anyone wants to grab a beer give me a buzz!

Dave just curious, where specifically did hit anything?
Rt, definitely go to party on the park if there's no rain. Loaded with eye candy. Cruise down by serpentine wall, the wall is rough (concrete) but there is usually other boats down there. Just raft up on the outside.

May go to Riverbend Sunday evening for the concert with a few boats. RT930Turbo will give you a call.

Please do! I should be on the water early afternoon if all goes as planned.

There are many very interesting things...

...in the greater Cinci area.

One thing that is a "do not miss" is Graeter's Ice Cream. It is the second best in the world!

I think it is the home of Skyline Chilli, but you seem to be a pretty good guy, so I won't send you there for bad food!

If you feel like a bar fight, go to a Univ of Cincinnati bar and say you like Xavier! Works best if basketball players are around!

Have fun!

The river has been in great shape. But we have some bad storms and alot of rain this week. Hope it works out. We will be out Saturday and Sunday weather permitted.
