Northern Chesapeake Trip...
So, the wife and I decided this year we'd make the trek north for the 4th of July Vacation and enjoy some of the spots we both enjoyed as kids.
Instead of tagging along with friends on their boats, we saddled up the boat to the truck and made the long journey up I-95. We traveled over 2000 miles on the highway, and a shade over 300 by water. Didn't make all the great spots, but experienced a handful. Spent 2 nights on the boat, but more importantly, was on the boat every day for 7 days!!! Be aware, I've got a bunch of pics below... :evilb: Here's the first group: Saturday... Still pond http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...ay/photo13.jpg Sunday was Ski Beach on the Bohemia http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/c...ay/photo14.jpg |
Monday was very special...make the trip South to Annapolis.

how do the palm trees stay alive in the winter? (first pic)
Maybe some of the regulars to Jellyfish Joels could provide more insight. ;) |
Many of the bars up here simply buy new trees each year and replace the ones that die. Nothing will keep them alive when we have a bad winter. I am always surprised how cheaply you can get them (big too).

Ziemer we where down there also the same time, nice pics. Did you see a 33 powerplay?

Here's a little video from our fun-run this past Saturday. We had 12 boats and about 35 people at the lunch stop. :drink: |

I saw one...not sure if it was you or not. Were you with Thunder Struck? Saw you guys Wednesday at Lloyd's, Friday at Chesapeake Inn, and on 272 near I-95 on Saturday. :evilb:
Anyway, great trip you took with irreplacable family time. Thumbs up to you. You hit all our favorite spots for sure which reminds me our next run should be to ego alley in annapolis panther. I love that place! |

I'm fairly certain we'll do it again next year. 4th of July up north is a ball...we were able to see 3 fireworks shows during the week, and all were great! BTW, great Video Panther! Like the view point on above the out drive... was that on a 24' Pantera? |
