I absolutely love the RPM boats. Does anyone know how many have been made?

tman 07-13-2012 02:43 PM

It would be on the top of my list for a single engine cat. Love the way they are rigged.

Steve is THE MAN

I believe Steve has built 20 something boats and they are simply one of the best cats in this size built by a man with the highest integrity and principals in the marine industry. Also, if anyone in the needs any kind of repair or service work, Steve Trip's business, RPM would be worth looking up. Just call Steve next time you need something and spend some talking to him and you will make the drive over to his shop in Harpersville. You just don't find many guys like Steve Tripp in this business! Just my 2 cents :thankyouthankyou::thankyouthankyou: Thanks

Why is the exhaust pointing down?

Noise suppression.

Catmando is correct. We are required to be certified and meet EU/CE noise requirements in European countries. That requirement is 74db at 82 ft at 42 MPH. Basically, while we were setting up to do the test with the EU cetification specialist a bass boat passed by 1/4 mile or so away and registered 80 on his meter. I cannot stress enough how quiet 74db is. Therefore, the pipes go down and have inline mufflers exit below the waterline and have turndowns on the outside to keep the exhaust underwater at anything under 50 MPH.

As far as the culvert is concerned, yes they go through that!!! :helmet:

Thats sweet, I,m sure enough depth, just be afraid scraping the sides where it is shallower.

Interesting. So I'm assuming the pipes are exiting somewhere lower than the level of the transom assembly? Such a shame you can't let the boat sing.

That is some seriously clean rigging. Looks like a great boat!

caseyh 07-19-2012 12:10 PM
