never had a twin ob, how will this boat handle rough stuff and are those 300x really bad gas wise? thanks for any advice

I've never had an go-fast with outboards, but my research and simple understanding of physics leads me to believe the same hull will handle rough water better with sterndrives than OB's. The lighter weight of OB's hanging off the back, vs heavier weight of sterndrives with engines located inside the boat and as close to the floor as possible makes a lot of difference in how it handles rough water.

To compare twin OB...

...to twin IO is really not much different than comparing one twin IO to another.

Each boat has their own characteristics. It is a different animal and does take getting a little accustomed to.

TexomaPowerboater is correct, there are different balance points and centers of gravity, but that is part of the learning process, and it is not all that dramatic.

As far as the motors, can't help you very much.
