from what you posted it sounds more like someone was trying to cause damage rather than steal. it prolly took a while and made some noise too...so somebody was comfortable there to do it. where any other boats there damaged?? Id start by first seeing who the shop has pissed off....then search from there.

if they were looking to damage they could have just busted up the valve covers, flame arrester, and put holes in the oil cooler or bashed it up.....along with slicing and dicing the upholstery sounds to me like they were after a lot more and or did not have a clue what they were doing and just got the things that came right off.....bashing the bearing buddies is strange, but taking off the lugnuts is not really damage cutting the tires would be....just idiots that did not have a clue I would be looking right around there locally at any section 8 type apartments with some "indigenous types" frequenting the porches and stoops and be looking for a trail through the weeds leading to there......probably with nuts and bolts and tools and parts littering the way the bad news is practice makes "perfect" |
Take a look at viper alarms I use them in all my vehicals and utv's. There is an option for motion sensors and other useful options that you might like. I'm going to put remote start and alarm on mine soon.

After looking at it, it just looks like they used the tools I had onboard, a utility knife, and the standard socket set I had in the side compartments. The insurance adjuster said I'm looking at about 2200-2700 to replace and repair the hoses, wiring, flame arrestor, and oil cooler with OE parts. I think I'm going to Upgrade the arrestor and oil Cooler and apply the difference myself. Any suggestions? I'm eventually going to beef up the motor a bit and want to have a compatible oil cooler on it.
