Muskegon Air show from Mona Lake on Saturday. Anyone???
I made a trip up the Mona Lake channel a few weeks ago. Other than a really small sand bar outside the opening of the channel in Lake Michigan, I saw 3' of water under the boat the whole way (which means it's about 4.5' deep the whole way). "In The Mood," which is a 47 Fountain was coming out as I waited to go in. He says no sweat also. And there are some big boats on their lifts on Mona Lake.
So, who want's to hook up for a raft in Mona Lake to watch the planes???

Mark, that 4.5' is just concerning the channel from Lake Michigan into mona Lake. Once you get into Mona Lake, it's nice and deep. But no, it's not a clear water lake, kinda like Muskegon Lake for water clarity.

The purchaser of my 30' Scarab is coming to pay me off Sat. I guess that means I'll have to stay home to take the money.......but next weekend I'll be partying on the water.......Fred

I think we may be heading that way tommorow. Pocket Change tells me to come from the North side back into the channel because of a sandbar
. Others have also said that it is a cluster F#$k getting in and out of that channel when it is busy. But I will probably come that way anyhow. Anybody with Sea Tow's # so when I am beached somewhere going in or out of Mona Lake I have someone to call
. If "in the mood" can get in and out though, I should be ok. Midnight
