I met Scotty Begovich at St. Clair on Saturday and he was telling me not to expect to much this weekend from Miss Geico as there are a lot of things to work out and to get use to the new Miss Geico. I said to Scotty that, with them just being there was fantastic in such a short time. There is no question that Miss Geico is a fan favorite and it wouldn't be the same with out them at the races. This is one of the most recognized Offshore Powerboat Racing Teams in the world and they continue to work hard to put a show on for all the fans and are great Ambassadors for the sport. I was amazed that they even showed up and they tried their best to put on a show for the fans and in this case they get a double Checker Flag even though they had mechanical problems all weekend. Once they get use to this boat and get all the little gremlins out of it, they will once again be flying around the course. Thanks for making such a valiant effort to come and race and not disappoint the race fans and thanks to all the other racers, volunteers and sponsors who put on another great race weekend for all of us. Good luck in Michigan City and be safe.

They won't do any flying in that boat unless they put turbines in it next year. The best speed with 1075s is 150-155.

Story didn't say "beating everyone around the course". They are like Maverick after the flat spin. It'll take them time to get up to speed and comfortable with the new craft.

We all know they are not sitting in the war room planning how to achieve second place. Their long term plan in about returning to domination. Congrats Team GEICO

I think the fact that they are out there, competing, rather than sitting around licking their wounds says volumes about their racing dedication! They dominated for so long, we just got used to them always being on top, they will no doubt rise to the competition again. Way to go MGR! Your fans are behind you and your team!

I was at the St. Clair race and i thought I heard through an interview with Marc by the announcers that in short that the 1075 are not long for Miss Geico and he said that they will be possibly going to 1350's and that they can crank up the engines to 1550 to 1600 hp.
