My Lego creation!

No directions, no pictures, and not enough pieces left to make a tow rig. But 6 hours later I have 2 foot long catamaran race boat on working tilt trailer

You did a great job and the detail is great, considering you built it with LEGOs.

Smart move not going with the tunnel tab! :D You can always rerig it once you get s'more seat time.

Save up some cash for a prop. Whoever labbed the starboard prop threw a blade in the process!

Jay Gadsby 08-08-2012 11:10 AM

Hahaha, that is great! Nice work for sure.

Riley0114 08-08-2012 12:18 PM

Yea there is a good 3x4 pile of legos on my living room floor and we couldnt find matching props. But it still came out alright. I figured that since I can't afford the real thing I will have to build my own. Lego doesn't really even have a kit for an offshore cat. Atleast not since I have looked.

andychb 08-08-2012 12:32 PM

ran 110, but as soon as we get the props dialed in......

kjm5125 08-08-2012 01:36 PM

Props

Three blade aluminum and a two blade stainless? You have a great build, I would not skimp on the props.

BTW, nice paint! :drink:

I'm 45 and still enjoy, sitting with my nephews and niece whenever we get a chance , building things with them. They have to be one of the best toys ever invented.

Surface lego drives were a good choice lol, and i do believe lego did have a few boat kits

BoatShow239 08-08-2012 10:10 PM

Wisdom would be...

...to make a mold and plug and call yourself anything you want (there might be a few names to stay away from) and mass produce it as a "micro stationary performance" boat!

Laugh all you want... remember the "Pet Rock" and "Cabbage Patch Kids"?

Were you out on LOTO with that thing last weekend? I saw something looked like that fly by me with a roost a mile long! ;)

Cool idea, you should pitch it to Lego! You never know, they might just go for it! In need of an engine upgrade tho. With that hull's 'composite' resin layup, you should be waaaay over 200 if you added a pair of 1350's!
