Mercruiser power steering
My low pressure hose has sprung a leak and unfortunately the metal tube that goes into the threaded fitting by the ram was rusted and bent while i was removing it. Otherwise I was just planing on getting a new hose and using hose clamps to the metal fitting. Is there an automotive power steering hose that I can use as a replacement? The mercruiser hose is insanely pricey like over $100 which I need to put towards other things. Thanks

I'm not positive but you could check, I believe that NAPA can supply custom hoses. They do in this area for the farm equipment.

I do have a lot of Napa places by me, I'll check into that
Thanks for the tip! |
I was able to get the low side fixed, my local auto parts store had a universal fitting kit that actually fit perfectly(I highly doubted it but figured I would buy it and try it and to my surprise it fit like oem). Now my problem is the dam high pressure hose has a crack in in the metal tubing near the fitting. Is there an automotive hose that I can use that any of you know of? Like from a certain car/truck model that would fit? Thanks!

the end is gm truck or car but the hose will have to be longer. go look at a 95ish gm truck and i think theyre the same.
