The zx25 is not stepped. I originally posted this thread because I too have a pad bottom zx25. The reason for the post was to find out how safe this boat is at 100+. I want to go fast...but don't want to be sitting on the edge of the seat the whole time....

Yikes

A couple of comments if I may

RT I told CJ that it was tyler logans boat cause he thinks it is and takes it out when his dad is gone:thankyouthankyou:

Scott No way you got past middle school :evilb:
Anytime you want a ride

DW Its north of 700 and bumping 90mph without a correct gear ratio and the right prop so I do consider it more than a gentlemens cruiser of which I'm not anyways. Its 622 ci with a tunnel ram and polished and ported heads Pretty easy to get 710hp and run like it does so docily. I did get a shorty on there which perked it up Its light years ahead of where it was when I started and it has plenty left to find I assure you
Obviously a well dialed in 22 like tripper's is going to run it down eveytime with the same power but it does run out well in snotty conditions

Clearly Mighty Mouse is the sickest classic ever and I might add one of the three or four sickest boats I've ever heard about.

Lastly I dont know chit about newer Donzi's other than I saw hedge and texan going by me so fast my neck hurt for a day on that same hot humid day. Wasnt there always some questions about silverghost and his claims

Yes, I had heard about a certain stainless chain through the rims option added to the trailer when Dad leaves town. Boys will be boys...

Thanks for checking in here Parn. To the rest of you, come join us, we have a ball making these things do stuff people say they can't do, and there is always room for a few more!

Parnell, what's up my man? Been a while. Last time we really talked about the GT was at AOTH 2 years ago. I was blown away by it as you know. I remember you saying the drive was too low and the engine had given you some minor headaches, but nothing major. I never meant to imply your particular GT-21 was a "gentleman's cruiser", just that the original design by Donzi was. Yours is more of an insane beast than a gentleman's cruiser. Sounds like the shorty was the way to go. Sorry I missed you guys in Chattanooga this year, just wasn't in the cards. I will be at either AOTH, or more likely, Chatanooga next summer and look foward to catching up. :)

DW Hope alls well in your world. No offense at the gentlemens cruiser quote I know exactly what it was. I ended up getting my whole engine rebuilt this winter and she perked up a bit. its all good She does run a bit more beastly now The shorty was key as I suspected.
I told Todd this summer its running so nice I just havent had the time or energy to make these next steps I know will speed her up even more.
Chat was great and I plan on getting back to aoth and chat next summer great runs and great times with cool people.
Say hi to Boo Boo and hope the twins are getting old enough to run the boat
