Thanks for the reply man..... I definitely see what your saying... but who the heck would be trimming the motor that far under load?

Thanks as well mrfiixall... if they left out those shims, wouldn't there be some slop or movement in that area?

what do you guys think I should do with this?? do you thinks its something from switching to a heavy duty transom? and am I ok just to run it now as its got clearance in there now and never was guide plates in the older bravos?

Looks at it again, there is more contact with the drives trimmed in. Then, when you trim up and down it's metal on metal.

I would grab a hold of that drive and manhandle it around to make sure there is no "slop" anywhere. But if the transom assy was replaced there may have been some worn out parts in the pivot/hinge area. So, that may have happened before you even bought the boat.

Copy that sir... Makes sense now! Ill also really shake the drive around next time I get down there to make sure there isnt any movement... Im pretty sure there wasnt any last time I checked it.

So obviously the drive wear would be there, but it looks like that gimble was part of the transom assembly that was replaced... Isnt that usually the case?
