I'm surprised that it is up there with no reserve. Some could get a real good deal.

The boat does look sweet, but I couldn't afford to feed the gas to that thing !

Risk Taker 07-09-2002 04:34 PM

Wonder why it's getting dumped   . That is a great price....

G-Force 07-09-2002 05:50 PM

I'm betting the seller forgot to put a minimum bid on the boat. No way is that thing is going to sell for under $70,000.00.

Tbonepmp 07-09-2002 05:55 PM

I DON'T KNOW, IT HAS BEEN FOR SALE FOR QUITE SOME TIME... IT WOULDN'T SURPRISE ME AT ALL IF THE SELLER DID NOT FORGET...
YA NEVER KNOW THOUGH???

Beckles 07-09-2002 08:46 PM

I can't believe who ever listed it wouldn't have posted the auction for more than five days ... you can go up to ten days on an item, and for a high $$$ item like that you can bet I'd list it for ten days!

Johno 07-09-2002 11:04 PM

Sold???

Supposedly sold for $76440-00 July 9 2002

cuda 07-10-2002 12:03 AM

Damn Johno, that was all you man!

jb 07-10-2002 09:58 AM

what a steal!!!!!

Kokopelli 07-10-2002 10:19 AM

 No way!! The drives and motors are worth more than that.

RickS 07-10-2002 12:08 PM

Hey what gives? This boat is listed for sale on this site but it's in Spain. The E-Bay add says the boat is in Miami.

47 Apache on OSO

blueamerican 07-10-2002 08:30 PM

No way that 47 went for $76,000. Even if the engines are all blown, the accessories, exhausts, Number 6's trim tabs etc. are worth way more than that, and the boat is worth something. Something seems rotten in Denmark!!!

DONZI 07-10-2002 08:45 PM

Look at the history of the bidders. Transactions 0 OR 1. Seems seller also had a name change with shades on. It"s real easy to play games on e-play.

FunHome 07-10-2002 08:56 PM

There was a thread about this last week. I wonder what the real deal is?

FunHome 07-10-2002 09:02 PM

I just looked at the bid page, and the person with the highest bid had LAW as the last letters of their name. I hope it's somebody that has a little background in law and can get the auction to stick!!!

I can see it now! in Powerboat mag. next month!
21 year old law student buy's 47ft APACHE on E-Bay and is now asked to be Pace Boat at all Poker-runs and ABPA Races!:D ;)

Johno 07-10-2002 11:25 PM

Just sounds too good

It just sounds to good to be true.....

puder 07-11-2002 01:01 AM

what was that about a 21 year old student :D

PatriYacht 07-11-2002 05:22 PM

I bid on the 47 yesterday.I was not the winner. Today the seller e-mailed to see if I was still interested. He was out of the country and wanted me to send 10 percent to a bank in Yugoslavia as a deposit. I mailed back I'd meet him in Florida with cash when he gets back. Still waiting to hear.

Sounds like a scam...I would not wire any money anywhere!!

cashmoney 07-11-2002 05:43 PM

Damn  I fell for that scam twice , down 20,000 and still no boat :D

rockstrmkr 07-12-2002 10:25 AM

To the best of my knowledge, this is definately NOT a scam. The guy selling the boat is an affluent European, who has more than one boat (quite a few from what I'm told), and needs to make some room before his new cat gets delivered.
I think his only difficuly in selling the Apache is that the boat is located in Europe, and the costs of transporting it back to the US.

PatriYacht 07-12-2002 11:12 AM

I e-mailed the ad in Off-shore Only to tell the owner his boat was on E-bay. He mailed back to thank me and said he had contacted E-bay. No question in my mind it was a scam. Also the name and e-mail address of the scammer was different than the ad in Offshore Only. I may call the FBI on this just for fun.

BajaBoss252 07-12-2002 12:38 PM

Look at the pictures of the cockpit. There are two pictures and they don't match up at all. Two different boats in the pics...

SummerObsession 07-12-2002 12:43 PM

Bad to the bone: Hey if you buy another boat, call me, I would buy your old one!!:D :D

I didn't notice that until your post - you're right on, the dash is completely different! Wonder if the e-bay guy is related to Mr. Beavboats....

rockstrmkr 07-12-2002 01:03 PM

You are right...The Ebay listing must be a scam.
But the boat is real and for sale. The reason for the different dash pix is that the real seller is selling more than one boat. The other dash picture is of a 38'Cougar that he's also trying to unload.
I'm not sure if this is the same 47, but there is a German guy who has a 47 with triples that was rigged by Bobby Moore back in the day. The owner of that 47 is taking delivery of the most insane Nor-Tech supercat I've ever seen, and I would assume that's why he's selling the 47....if it's the same boat....

sean stinson 07-13-2002 01:06 AM

Same boat
