It also does not take 20psi of boost, actually less and when switching to E85, the boost increases 1-2psi due to the volume of fuel.
I never said it wouldn't run on pump E-85, the topic is the shoot out so... I really wasn't wrong. But ok off by a couple pounds of boost.

Ps- Dustin, what are the real HP #s on these motors, set up for shoot out?

Why does everyone have to try and rain on his parade, he had the boat that took top gun, and the balls to air it out. Give him the credit. Oh and yes its a center pod boat. Congrats to him and all the others that perticipated.

Yes, he ran the first run of the weekend and we missed it because we didn't hear the call from the start boat and the camera people weren't on the ball so I feel bad about that but he won his class. I don't remember the speed but it was fast, I am thinking in the 120's but don't hold me to it.

Custom built by GT Performance in Upland CA, 598ci big block, Dart block, Whipple 8.3L SC's, Whipple cupronickel intercooler, Vipec PCM custom tuned by GT Performance for bi-fuel, custom built intake manifolds by GT....

Motors are not "shootout" built. They're built for pleasure boating with a totally nasty side when they want to go to the shootouts. Same motors as he ran in 2009 when he was the King of the Desert at Desert Storm.

(And Big Chief heads).

At 2009 Desert Storm, I believe the tune was C16 with water injection.

After DS, I think the 1500HP (mild) tune needed less octane still. Even at the mild tune, it was some comedy seeing that boat try to keep wakeless...lol.
