Best Marine Engine Rebuilders

Any recomendations for the best engine rebuilders in the midwest? Need to have some work done on a 525 that has a Whipple on it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Eddie Young is in Tenn. Young perfomance marine. He works with Whipple a lot.

Bill lawson. Ateco engine & dyno. Located in waukegan IL. Just make sure you agree on a time table ahead of time, and get it in writing.

I was very happy with how my engine turned out.

Btw - whippled 540here... think he could help you out

I'm in Minnesota so I would like to consider some place closer than the west coast or east coast.

Saris Racing Engines at Performance Marine in Bolton Landing, NY is who I always recommend. Technically top notch, honest and fair. They are the only ones who touch my motor. People from across the US ship to them all the time. Whipple experts as well. I'd pick based on the reputation of the shop versus the location.
Ask for Jason.

Considering your location, I would recommend Tyler Crocket in Ruby, MI. He's built a lot of Pro series offshore race engines, winning a lot of offshore races from the great lakes to Key West.
