I had the pleasure to be the first to ride in the new Outerlimits SVL 29 at LOTO.
Brian Forehand really knows how to drive a boat through the rough stuff!! I want to take this opportunity to thank Doc Janssen for letting me stay at his house and ride on all his boats! Thanks to Dan Davies for all the food! Thanks to Mark and Nancy Tuck for the ride in their 44SL Outerlimits. Thanks to Mike Fiore at Outerlimits for the ride in a new 52SV w 1350 mercs! (vid to follow soon) Best weekend I've had in a long time! Enjoy the Vid!!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7bu0...hannel&list=UL |

It is truelly an amazing place to test and run boats. But you forgot to add, why we actually started so far back in this pack,,,,,,, If my memory is correct,,,,,,, you ran out of gas going to the start area on Friday morning,,,,,,, and had to be towed into the gas dock,,,,, I am sure you were rushed to get the camera set up. Great Video Doc Janssen Back to reality in Denver,,,, Cheers,,,,, |

Mark,,,
Beside passing alot of Fast boats, ( V & Cat) ........I noticed the throttles did not let up , and most people go to the "outside" of the No Wake Markers ( 03:21) Cheers |
and Running inside the No Wake bouys 35' off someones dock pushing triple digits and using the bouys like a slalom course.. Great lookin boat, seems to handle the rough really well..
|
Doc,
Yea, Brian never came off the throttles and yes the start was rushed. I barely had time to start the Go Pro! O, I thought those buoys said go faster!! :evilb: Doc, you built a rocket boat for sure! |

Awesome Video. Really got my blood pumping!
With regards to the NW Buoys you could just tell WP that you were going so fast there was hardly any wake so you felt it was ok to run inside them! What speeds were you guys seeing on that run! |

Very Nice Video!
The OL 29 SVL is not only fast but looks great and appears to be able to the handle the water conditions very well. Thanks for posting the video and Congrat's. |
When you said Brian really knows how to run a boat thru the rough stuff I didn't know you meant on the wood the whole way!:coolcowboy:
|
Honestly I was surprised he even slowed down for the no wake zone under the bridge!!

I bet a lot of guys were surprised to get passed by a single 525 boat. Good job by the pilot!
|
What was the speed of this boat in the shoot out? An then what was the speed of the Fountain?
|
thats a fun boat! thanks for posting.
|
Thanks for the ride guys !! That was more like napp of the earth combat flying with the horizon flipping side to side . Last time i did that it was in a Lotus chopper . Doc you have a real runner there and beautiful to boot !! Congrats....:drink:...http://i1243.photobucket.com/albums/.../notworthy.gif

What time of day was it? I'm sure there are a few people who were on their docks screaming about no wake zones and cursing us fast boat folks.:lolhit: |
Sure looks like a lot of fun! I hate we missed it!!!
|
Very, Very impressive.
That little boat is something. (nice driving to boot) I wonder if there will be a trend of smaller single engine boats coming??? |

I am fortunate to have some options to run on these poker runs at LOTO. We left our 47 fountain( with 1200 Merc's) on the lift,,, and choose to run the 29 Outerlimits and the 30 Fountain ( both single engine 525), as our first choice. The hull efficiency, and handling of the new OL was amazing in this big water event |
Congradulations from all of us at Aero Marine! We are proud that our windshield is on the Outerlimits 29 V - it looks amazing! I really enjoyed meeting you and your wife at LOTTO!
Carmen |
that made me dizzy and running inside of buoys.....thats sweet...
|
Sweeet Video...
|
Looks like you two had a blast on that ride!! It was great meeting you Saturday night. I hope you had a good week!

I actually was thinking that he was driving like a complete asshat, and stunts like the buoy slalom and driving to the extreme in crowded waters is what will eventually doom poker runs. That's what the shootout is for...all-out max speed on a closed course. Swimmers aren't expecting an 85mph pass within 35' of shore.

One helluva combination Doc Janssen, Brian Forehand of Marker 17 Marine and the Outerlimits team....all class acts.....and that was one sweet tow boat they had when they ran out of fuel on the way to the fun run :cool-smiley-011:

Boat riding in a midwest ( LOTO) poker run may actually be safer, than any car in NY. If you were at LOTO ,last weekend) hope you enjoyed the hospitality, and all the options for marine activities |
Great video, but what rough stuff? Looks pretty flat other than wakes from other boats.

Here we go again....:circle:....:poopoo:

So is the 29 OL faster than the Fountain? Seemed like the OL edged out the Fountain every time in the drag race. Just curious. And what about the 29 OL with the 565 running 99 mph! Incredible boats !

I agree. After watching that video, I guess the bad driving on the way to Camden on the Lake Thursday nite wasn't the only poor driving they exhibited....

And everyone wonders why the MO Water Patrol wants to end or crack down on Poker Runs and Fun Runs at LOTO. They are always looking for info to kill these events and what's the best way to help them? Serve up video documentation in downloadable video form with names and faces!!! Nice Job!!
