bleeding trailer brakes?????

if you read my other post someone just barely clipped the nose of my trailer monday night. Only a tiny bend on the flange of the ball insert, but it jarred it enough to break one of the brass fittings coming from the master cyllinder of the surge brake system, going rearward towards the brakes. I'm going to pick up a new fitting tonight, and I'm sure there is air in the line, and I'm not sure how to bleed a surge system, Should I pick up a brake bleeder thing, and what are they and how do they work, or would you recommend taking it in to have it done, but I really dont want to move it without brakes on it? I'm sure the bleder is self explanitory, but I've never bled trailer brakes before. Thanks in advance
