High performance machines are comprised of analogous parts, that when united by a single purpose, can achieve the impossible. The team of Marc Granet and Scott Begovich is just such a machine. There isn’t a more iconic pair in the deadly world of off shore racing. Although they share the same DNA when it comes to relentless dedication and crossing the finish line well before anyone else, you couldn’t get two more disparate gentlemen to share the cockpit.

Both pilots of Miss Geico had a love for water and were drawn to racing from the beginning. Marc’s fascination started as a child from watching his father’s involvement in the US Navy Defense projects. Scotty B knew he wanted to race from day one, he just didn’t know how he was going to get there. Buying a boat was a logical first step, so with all his effort focused on saving enough money to do just that.

When Scotty and Marc teamed in 2005 to pilot Miss Geico, it was evident that the new team on the starting block was comprised of part mad scientist and part rock and roller.

Since then, they’ve captured five consecutive World Championships in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. They’ve shattered speed records and set World records. They are Unstoppable. And, undeniably, the team to beat.

Miss Geico is hailed as one of the fastest offshore powerboats in the world. And as long as Marc and Scott are at the wheel, she’s living proof that oil and water really do mix.
