Default How much did you pay to re-gel / paint your hull?

What would a guy expect to pay if he was going to drop off a bare hull to have the top and sides either painted or gelcoated a single color? Lets say this would be on a 25-30' Offshore style hull.

I am trying to decide if I want to go project or turn key.

Thanks,

I know in just materials alone I will have over 700, not to mention we are doing all the work our self. I know a local place charges about 150 ft.

The prices vary VASTLY pending who you are going to.

I'm trying to remember what I paid to have my 20 Donzi Minx sprayed in Awlgrip. I want to say $1200 but can't be 100% sure without looking (memory is fading). That was 2 colors (red / white) including the bottom, sides, top, and interior with the floor done in non-skid. They also sprayed my blank dash panels in red while they sprayed the stripes and sides... The boat was far from ready too, they finished the sanding/prep job.

Other places were quoting me up to 5 grand.

Five years ago I had a 24 Sunsation race boat painted from the chine upto and including the deck. I did ALL the prep work-taking rub-rail off, taking all hardware off, fixing all dings and gouges, and removing the seats. I towed the boat to MACO and was charged $1150.00 MACO used a Dupont paint (not sure which one) and the boat came out VERY GOOD! It wasn't "excellent", but for my needs, this was adequet. Being that this is a raceboat, it is constantly on and off the trailer, and alot of hauling miles. Some laughed when I had MACO paint the boat, but several people saw my boat at races and complimented the paint job. Its been 5 years and the boat still looks pretty good! Hope this Info helps.
