looking for some idea's on places to go

I'm not ready to put the boat away just yet, so I'm looking travel a little bit to find some warmer weather. Would like to stay within 8-10 hrs from home as we probably will only be going for 3-4 days. Home is in west mi. about 30 mins west of grand rapids. It would be only my wife and I going for our anniversary and plan to leave in the next 2-3 weeks. Does anybody know of anywhere fun and a little warmer than here. I'm kicking myself for not going to lake cumberland last week. Thanks in advance for any ideas. Jason

I feel your pain Jason. Hard to beat West Michigan for boating but Cumberland or LOTO are the easiest options. After swimming in either of those lake you will be thankful for how clear the water is here! :drink:

Think I might have seen your boat up here a couple times this summer??

Offshore, haven't had my boat up there this summer unfortunately. Mine is all black with a white deck. Tough to do what you want with two young kids sometimes. Is cumberland any fun without the poker run?

Heck just goto St.Clair. Unless it get really cold.

I am thinking the same way, I have went down to Marrieta Ohio/wheeling west virginia area and ran the ohio river in the fall before and the weather there is about 2 weeks behind ours, Smitty
