Yes a 24 was offered in that year as the firefox. I would say it is legit.

The ad is bogus! It's $10,000 in New York with a phone number.
BRT's are 24x7, Firefox's & Banana's are 24x8. The cockpit is
set back a little further on a BRT.

Kind of looks like a 36' Cig cut down on both ends from the side pic.

Looks like Banana. It is not a Cig Firefox and not a BRT.

It is a Banana. Looks to be a Port Edgewood vintage.

RUN AWAY !!! Trust me, I saw and inspected it in person last year.... it is a "Banana" of some sort, but for sure a ROTTEN Banana the last time I saw it.

Engine stringers were rotten and ripped from bulkhead AND the stringers were leaning at a 45 degree or so. Lots of other rotten areas, I literally put my finger through one bulkhead at entrance to cabin. After seeing that and the stringers I stopped looking and left.

BTW, this same boat has been advertised the last year on Craigslist everywhere from Indiana, Baltimore(or Philly?), Long Island (where I saw it in person) and now Virginia...with prices ranging from $3500 to close to $10,000.

Also the pics being used in that Craigslist Ad are a few years old..

On separate subject, didn't the Cig Firefox come out in the mid-80s?? Pretty sure an 80 Cig 24 footer would still be the "Cigarette 24" Model, not Firefox...regardless, this "BRT 24", or what ever it is, is certainly not a Cigarette "24" or a "Firefox".

FYI, I went back and checked the copy of the registration I was sent for this boat and the HIN starts with "BOV".

I thought this mounted on the mirrored inner engine hatch was hilarious and speaks to the "authenticity" of the whole boat...LOL
