That's what I was just sitting here thinking... I don't know how fast that 48EC was running but it looked like up in the 70's-80's with the triple 700's... I would bet one of those would run 100! and its a fountain so you know it'll be fast!
I was told that you couldn't fit anything but 700's under the hatch of an EC.. how much taller would a 1075 or 1100 be than a stock 700? |

keep the cruiser stock and spend a $100k on a 100mph cat to tow behind the boat :)
and put the other $ 400k in the bank |

The 400SS has so much aero-drag that I think 100 is a real stretch with anything but turbines and shaft drives.

I will donate my 2011 400ss for a test mule and run it in the shootout if someone will convince mercury to spring for the motors!
100 mph or not it would be stupid cool! I think the boat weighs over 17,500 with a hardtop.

Zero percent chance. Good friend of ours has a new 2012 w/ 725 Ilmor's boat runs hign 60"s. His boat weigh's 18,000 lb's. This boat does not like cleaver props. M8's and 1350's my guess you'd pick up maybe 10 MPH.
What are his current slip numbers? I think it is possible, I have a friend with a one off "sandler" 47 ft 20k lb boat (lower profile) trip 1000s and asd8 drives, 103 mph |
