Quote: After talking to Sunoco, ethanol, winter blend of 93, and storage at different stations. Theres a recreation blend they make of 93 thats pretty consistent...I would personally mix aliitle leaded 110 20-30%...lose alittle power but not hurt anything.
Why not run 98-100 octane like Nascar?

the new engine rule should have considered this fuel problem from inception the engines should be able to use 93 pump gas no issue end of story

Okay Bob , his Platinum weighs about 11000 lbs..if you dont want him in thats fine, Hes back out racing in clearwater this weekend thought we could help the guy OR AT LEAST TALK ABOUT IT. Didnt I try and help you with the 530cid to try and help you whith a boat you had already??? You had no choice because 530 cid enginges didnt help the boat and you destroyed it KEY WEST.

Comon Big Boy get that thing out.

Bob he may not need anything, we just need to know what the boat really weighs and encourage the guy to come race.

Guy it should be fine, just remember its not a computer controlled 525,or 850 which manages timing and injection and senses detonation. Just dont want these guys to hurt a motor without having a little knowledge about fuel. I have the luxury of working very closely with these engines and try and discover possible issues before they happen.

Guys, don't get all upset about a question, I'm going to weigh my boat this weekend but if I remember correctly I'm almost 13k lbs rigged and fueled. I only asked the question because there are a lot of rumors about the class having no restrictions, some restrictions, etc. Tony, no worries my friend!

i think some minor adjustments in the rules are sometimes need look at nascar they gave toyota some advanages to get them stared then they would win to much and they would add weight ,same is true in nhra pro stock bike harley started wining now they carry more weight to even them out; would like to see all boats compete. how about anything over a true 42'' could run more cubic inch if he starts to get to fast add weight or something

Thinking out-loud, The bullet proof 509 @ 9.5 Lb. is basically ready for a set of inter-cooler, twin turbo's. Unless I'm missing something, one intake comes off and the other one goes on, for a lot of diversification.
