What , that it is the fastest production V hull in the world?

I highly doubt it, there are no specs indicating that it is the fastest. A patent number means nothing.
what engines, what drives?, What power to weight ratio, what amenities?
Hell it all has to do with power to weight ratio THEN you take that and your hull design and start tinkering.
if you gut a boat and tear all interior out of it
Yeah yours will be faster than your buddy with the exact same boat and he left his all togheter
that leaves too much open to verify what they exactly mean.
Also AT ads in powerboat using "Its not about Offshore Only"

active thunder needs to be more professional with their ads, taking stabs at others makes you like bad. I like their boats and went thru the factory, but their punk-kid like attitude towards others is only going to hurt them especially when they have a nice looking product. I myself haven't been in one so I won't comment if it runs good or bad.

That is one sweet boat , fast to , but how fast ?
Jay , I believe that the "Offshore Only" in the add was a promise to the gods to work their name into the add.

In no way am I saying it is a good or bad boat but the page you posted up needs more difinitive refinement to explain exactly what they are trying to say.

bottom line, there is always someone out there that has something faster than you.

The most sickest thing I have ever heard of was a old old old (only made a handful of these things I believe) sonic put twin 365 mags in a 23 1/2 or 24 foot boat
if someone got a hold of one of these and tweaked it, forgetabbut it!
I think the Nova spyder from wellcraft had twin big blocks in a 24-25 foot hooptie as well.

:( Guys they are only ads......You are both very close to me in Jersey. If you would like to see one of the boats let me know. I am happy with the speeds I got out of my AT. Is it the fastest with equal power??? I do not know or do not care,:D but will be happy to show you the boat.

I am not sure about the top speed of a stock hp 500 37, Pat and Mark.who owns a 37 with 500 efi, gps 88 mph. My boat, full cabin,corian countertops, a/c, fresh water tanks etc... hit 102 on gps at lake x with 200 rpms left and on fresh water.

AT put up a huge thread a little while ago apologizing to other
boat companies for what they said. they did mention the powerboat ad and that was a promise to the board gods apparently. thats all i know...even though its not much:)

slingshot- Thank you! Your post was probably one of the most intelligent comments I've read about AT in quite a while. An awful lot of posts coming from people on this board that haven't seen one, been to the factory, or ridden in one- just seem to have an opinion.

Primary objective of advertising- GET PEOPLE'S ATTENTION
At a minimum, they have succeeded.;)

But the page that slingshot listed does not say with what power, what props, what the boat weighs ect
Just leaves alot wide open is all
Not saying in anyway that the boat is bad cause it is not.

and with twin 500's in my 28 baja, I wont reach thouse speeds (and If I could, my hull design is no where near good enough to hand it anyway)

What's the big deal fella's? I think it's a great ad. Nothing wrong with some arrogance, after all it sells which is their bottom line. Anyone seen the Baja ad's lately? How'bout Cigarette? Donzi? Actually how about any of them?!...:rolleyes:

As everyone knows i have an AT...i would still choose them as my "PLEASURE" boat for the time being... they ARE not the worlds fastest!!!...currently foutain owns that bragging right!!! both in under 35 and over 35! i'm a FIRM beleiver in SHOW ME,,,DON'T TELL ME.....the world kilo record will be in cleavlan again next month....so manufactures??....shut up...bring your **** out and let your product do the talking....O by the way top speed does not mean jack **** if you can't use it in the rough which some manufactures claim as well.....so have a look at the current APBA pro series standing in the F classes. get up,, stop racing from the sidelines,,,and show us what you can do,,,,don't tell us!!!!


ps....funny how much work, time, and money goes into a kilo record....hell some co's are claiming it with full cabins and AC....****!

1 more thing!...fountain holds it for 500hp SVL class also at 106 and some change in a river!!!! that's 1000 hp to go 106 in a 38 V!!!!

Yea, that "special" Fountain may have gone 106, but the one you buy from a dealer for pleasure use for $200,000 only goes 80-85. That is based on my experience with a couple of friends boats.

i agree what you buy from the factory and what is raced are 2 differnt things as a 500 hp boat....f2 did start out being--race what you sleep in on the weekends with your family! the only thing a consumer can really do is run the "production" boats and make their decision from there. AT does come out VERY high on the list....racing is for bragging rights! yes, some things do and can be cascaded back to the production boats for improvments. don't get me wrong, i'm not the world biggest fountain fan....but look at a reggie's ads....his racing (FACTS) SELL a lot of boats for him???

I think you got it right Joey. I wish the F2 had remaind true to the original vision. Race production boats so more people could afford to participate.

LOL! Even if someone does build a faster 36'8" boat, slap a couple extra coats of clear on it and build the fastest 36'8 1/64" boat. LOL!

That boat as awesome as it is, is a touch out of my price
range and it pisses me off cause that is one of the only
fountains that ever got me to have my mouth hanging open
and got me speechless.
I had called the origional owner and I was about 2-3 days late

Well, all I can say is; worlds fastest or not----you have to admit for the power and weight that 37' Active Thunder AVH of Dan's is one impressively FAST puddle jumper! :)

i didn't change my tune....just look'n at the facts....and the ad in question is really not based on facts...

What AT is trying to get at, is, ( and I'm not defending them, cause I could give a rats ass, I bought their boat on overall quality, performance, and speed, price was not a factor) if you compare other awesome boats of close to the same size, 38 Hustler, 38 Fountain, 38 Cigerette top gun,-(just sold mine) and so on.... with the same 500 efi's the AT is @88mph, radar, GPS. slightly faster than the others, and with a full cabin. Dan's boat is 102mph all day long, and still has 200 rpms to go, mine will be out shortly, HOPEFULLY, with the exact same power but with Imco Extreme SC, we will see if this fairs out any better. Also if you read their ads where do you see Its not just about"OFFSHORE ONLY" it doesn't say Offshore only . com, or use the """"" in their ads, its what ever you makes of it, it also states its about creature comforts too, and displays their new Millinium cabins. So if you have a bug up your ass and are pissed off that day and like to start ****, so be it. Everyone is to some degree brand loyal, buy what you want, enjoy it, have some fun and think that you are in the fastest Vbottom in the world, then everyone wins, bottom line, lets go boating:D

Didn't we all tell this was going to happen a LOOOONG time ago????? But haven't you had a lot of fun getting there.:D :D
