40+ reasons to come to the boating toys or tots tour
1 There is a new more convenient date for the TFT tour. Nov 17th weekend .
2 The weather in Florida is always great that time of year.
3 The location of the Boating Toys for Tots Tour is a great stop on my way back home from the Key West world championships/ poker run
4 . one can stay In Palatka a week for what it cost to stay in Key West ONE day
5. Dockage is FREE at the host hotel.

Dear Friends and fans on the Boating toys for tots tour.
I want to thank each and every one of you who came out to the tour. Your love and generosity was able to fill a 20 foot flat bed trailer to overflowing . The toys and gifts that you brought to the tour were able bring joy to hundreds of kids. THAT IS MAGIC !!
With the Boating Toys for Tots Tour looking to improve with each event. W e feel like we hove hit on the right formula but as in all things there is always room for improvement. If you have any suggestions or things that you would like to see at the boating toys for tots tour please let me know..
An upcoming change for next year is a change in date . For Next year the Boating Toys For Tots Tour will be the NOV 17 weekend. That is the weekend before thanks giving and the weekend after the Key West Offshore event, We are looking to maybe catch some of the Key West participants on there way back North.. For less than what it cost to be in Key West a day one could stay in Palatka a week..May be some of those guys have spent that spent those mega bucks in the keys on $300+ per night room and outrageous docking fees and several hundreds for poker run registration. Might enjoy a break from being raked over the coals . The TFT enjoys having fair pricing as a mainstay of our event , $75 for a room with free docking reasonable prices for food and drink ., And the event registration price is about the price of a T-shirt and you get a T-shirt a full weekend of activity on the water and on land with two live band parties and some nice prizes. Next year There will be more and again all at the price of a T-shirt.
My goal is to have the Boating Toys for Tots Tour be a “ Must come to event” “ for any and every good heated person in boating . That all persons feel welcome at the TFT tour no matter is you in a1.2 million dollar offshore rig or $500 dollar rebuild that you and your brother in law redone in the back yard , you are special be cause you came with a gift for someone to share your generosity and care with a child.
Ask anyone who has come on the Toys tour and they will all tell you the same that it is a great event whose focus on winning ,is winning for the kids. If you want a great poker hand and a big cash prize go to Atlantic City or Las Vegas . Knowing that you have made a child’s holidays brighter with your gifts surely outshines that poker hand cash prize. The joy you bring to a child is MAGIC . I personal guarantee that when you come to the Boating Toys for Tots tour you will have a sensational time.

The Us Marines would like to invite every powerboater with a good heart to come to the 2012 Boating Toys For Tots Tour
The 2012 Boating Toys For Tots Tour is a boating event like no other . We ask that boaters bring a new toy and your boat to the Quality Inn of Palatka Fl. There we will have a Captains meeting at 10AM Saturday Nov 17 . The Tour will start at exactly 11:30 and run down the St Johns River to the Welaka city dock were the US Marines will be waiting to collect your toys and gifts . This is followed by a lunch at the Welaka lodge and later a live band party at the host hotel.
On Friday the Nov 16 there will be a lunch run from the dock at the Quality Inn to Crescent city. Boaters will meet on the dock and ready for the 11Am run to Crescent city for lunch and then back to the host hotel for a live band party.
The Boating Toys for tots tour is FREE to anyone who brings a toy and go on the toy run .We welcome all boaters. There is a small charge for registration , this gives you admission to the parties an event T-shirt and participation in the dozens of prizes that will be given to guests. Registration is only about the price of a T-shirt .
Please note that this event is a toy collection drive not a race or a speed event and discretion should be used as thes waterways have no speed limits and no special safety provisions are ein pace for this event . Please be safe. No jetskis please .
