I know my Simrek Halo works. Short rope and a wakeboard! This was pre-GoPro.
For the life of me I can't find anyone to wakeboard or tube behind my boat ?!?!?! |
Is there any reason why Merc doesn't build a cooling system into their drives? Why wouldn't it be a factory engineered system if it was so necessary?

& I'm sure its nice to sell 1000$ parts to repair damaged drives vs 100$ showers. The shower that op put up seems like a good idea in theory, but I'd rather have the water pushed all the way thru a tube & let force /gravity dump the water on the drive. Looks like the shower on this thread could pick up or clog with debris and re direct the cooling water jet spray away from the drive. $.02/ $.02 |
I'll pass...

The company is part of K&B. They have been builting model plane and boat engines for 60+ years. Sound like a little pet project.

KB had that shower at least 12 years ago advertised in hotboat mag. accually thought they were long gone until now. Why not mount the gopro to ur ladder especially if its mounted under the swim deck to see how well any drive shower works. One of these days I'm going to try it if all possible.
