I have two 6x9 holes and two 10 inch holes. I like the 9.5 dc golds, we had some in our old intrepid and they sounded good

In that case, I would go with the DC Golds 9.5's and 6x9's to keep it simple and power them with an Alpine PDX-F6 amp. The least expensive place I have found DC Golds is at http://www.lafayetteradio.com/ The price has gone up a lot in last few years.

I'm going to make the 6x9 holes round and go with 4 of the same speakers I think.

This will be the the loudest speaker; Krypt 8.0 based on the JL 7.7 hole.
http://www.bulletlines.com/HLCD-Wake...aker-p/466.htm

It is very deep, requiring a 16oz can depth behind the mounting surface. A baffle increases mid-bass.
If you are space limited, these can make up for a lot.
I run 4 of the 6.5's in boat and dont feel they are too sharp, especially if the mount locations are in low firing, stock locations.

Have not heard the 808 WetSounds yet but their 6.5 gets pretty loud and bass response is impressive so I would expect nothing less from a larger cone.

Rockford Fosgate 8" sounds very nice and is able to handle decent power but has its limitations compared to the two above.

you do not have to do marine speakers personally i have all audison vocce k6"s in my boat 6 sets of them and 6 ten inch woofers. But you have to be careful not to get them wet, the are all components so the voice coil is weather proof. Marine speakers are just easier bc they can get wet(to a degree) although they do muffle the sound. The Rockford marine speakers are good but in my book nothing beats the alpines.
