Unhappy Boat sinks at Indy Poker Run! No injuries!!

An Awesome Powerboats 38' cat sunk after mechanical failure during the Chicago to New Buffalo leg of the run. Fortunately there were no injuries. I don't have all the details. What I was told is a motor mount came lose or failed and put a hole in the hull. It was a beautiful boat. I felt bad for the owner when he told the marina the boat would be brought there by the salvage company. The boat that sank is in the middle. Picture taken the night before.

There should be more information tomorrow. Mr. Cig, Joe900SC, Chris Reindl and MrOffshore are at the festivities tonight. Sorry if I forgot anyone.

They were video tapping the run so it was probably caught on tape.

Wow Candyman, I didn't know that. I'm glad everyone is safe. I've got a great pic of that boat and many others at the start of the run.
I'll post them pretty soon

I just got back from the marina. The boat was towed to a salvage yard in Chicago. I was also told that the boat delaminated and it wasn't an engine mount failure. Does anyone have any more information?

This one hits close to home for me and could be damaging to a good friends buisness,,,,,, so lets wait until we get ALL the facts before we get carried away,,, we ALL know how things can run rampant only to find out the complete opposite is true.

Thanks,
Dennis
