prop for liberator??

I have a 1987 21liberator and with the prop I have it will go 72mph. Is this right it has a 225 merc and I would think that would be a bit slow, I had it trimmed about right I messed around with the trim and the fastest I got was 72 and had about 6 inches of running surface at that speed.
Thanks
Brett

your dream meter is lieing to you by about 15 mph..

Uh, yeah, what engine do you have. You would need 500 horsepower or more to hit 70, and your alpha drive would already be dead. Fill us in.

What prop?
What engine?
What drive?

350/260 is usually 50-52
454/330 is usually 55-57

EDIT: I bet you are talking about the Liberator Cat...and we can all shut-up now, didn't notice the Merc 225.

I'm pretty sure they all thought you were talking about a 21 V Bottom.

Yeah we did, I edited my comment right after I posted it. Sorry about the confusion.

Just a note - that is a 20' Liberator.

It should run low 80s with that 2.4.

They do not like thru the hub props. Find a 28" Merc ET or Mazco RE3.
